My 3 Design Components: Space, Color & Balance

Space: The emptiness in this photo attract more eyes and allows viewer to become engaged or interested in the photo. Although the photo appears to be full, it actually has a lot of space filled with depth.

Points, Lines, and Planes: This images is created with lots of points, lines, and planes. I say this because it guides our eyes in different directions. It's kind of exciting to see because motion is being created through this drawing.  This image also reminds me of Overall balance.

Balance: This image illustrates sort of a symmetrical and asymmetrical form of balance. If you look closely at the ball in the middle there is a face there but not in the other balls, which attracts attention and makes this image more complex. The balls may be the same size but they are different in there own way, for example, the first ball looks like a glass ball whereas the middle ball look aluminum. They give a symmetrical feel because of the balls reflection or drop shadows. This makes the images more visually equivalent.

I adjusted the histogram levels and curves from the original photo and played with the hue and saturation level to brighten the photo.

Infographic Update

Updated version of my infographic.

Infographic

This infographic is not your typical infographic. I designed this infographic in such way because I thought re-creating the popular game board, Monopoly, would be a interesting visual for me and others. This infographic basically shows my goals post graduation. Here you can see my desired destinations to build on my career in the field of TV production/media. It also shows what responsibilities I would have to face as I grow further into adulthood. Everyone needs a break sometimes, right? so this graph also shows my desired places of travel. It also tells you right and wrong. For example, I have a "don't go to jail" section and also "giving back to your community" sections. It's always the nice thing to do. Life can be challenging at times just like a puzzle, so I created a puzzle symbol instead of Monopoly typical question mark. Notice, my tiny little dice there are rolled on the number 7. I'm not a gambler but i'm sure that in the game of 7/11, seven is a lucky number which tells me that my plan in this infographic is all possible. Hope you enjoy!

Space, Symmetrical, Balance, Imbalance, Asymmetrical

 In the top and bottom photo, we see that the rooms can almost be split in half because these rooms are almost a mirror of themselves. The middle room doesn't show as much symmetrical views and balance as the top and bottom photo. We can see how well balance all  three photos are because at the top the pictures, lamps, dressers etc are exact; In the middle, if the photo was at a front few, we would see that the furniture is also balanced and symmetrical because they are the exact same and equal to one another. These rooms are well organized but what makes them asymmetrical and

imbalanced, as we see in the top photo, the couch way in the back is slighting off center, the photo over the couch is not leveled nor is it a reflection of itself. The curtain in this top photo also gives a sense of asymmetrical because we don't see one on the other side. In the middle photo, if you look at the ceiling, you noticed that it is slanted which gives it a asymmetrical and imbalance feel to room. Even the the top half of the fireplace is a little off or slanted. In the bottom photo, notice that the stairway in the back left doesn't compare with the patio door on the back right, this give us a feel of asymmetrical and imbalances. The chairs to the left and the couch to the right don't equal each other neither. All three rooms are filled and barely empty. All three rooms are beautiful, organized, wide, and almost vertically mirrored had it not been for it imbalance and asymmetrical feels.
